STREAMER’s roots date back to 2015 with the release of rock pop EP Midlife Crisis. Freddie was just 14 years old when he drummed on the title track.
The concept of combining guitars and live instrumentation with a strong EDM feel has been in development for a while, but really took shape in lockdown in 2020 in Tom’s home studio and accelerated in 2022. One of the drivers for this was a sense that too few youngsters were picking up instruments compared with DJ decks, so perhaps it was time to showcase how the two worlds of band and DJ are even better - and more fun to watch - when combined.
